Matt Bisset - Founder & Chief Everything Officer

Matt was one of the founding team who came up with the Register Now concept 14 years ago. Today, he's one of the industry's original gurus and you can either find him solving problems on his trusty whiteboard or answering the team’s “how” and “whys”. His love for events spawned out of healthy competition with his younger brother, back then triathlon was the top pick, but cycling has quickly take the front seat in the last two decades - waxed legs and all that fun stuff when he’s getting serious! Having owned and run several event management companies (starting out of his parent’s shed before he even finished uni) his knowledge of the industry is about as far and wide as you can get in Australia. Matt spends his days inspiring the Squad, guiding our tech developers through sprints and deployments and deciding which new local foodery will be on the menu for our next team meal!

Sophie Hamdorf - Comms & Branding Visionary

Sophie has been involved with Register Now for the past 5 years, initially on the customer service side between stints at home with kids. This front line experience has given her great insight into the product and what Register Now means to people not only as a service but more importantly as an experience provider. A reluctant athlete, Sophie is more partial to yoga and pilates in hot rooms but will give anything a go and the promise of a nice glass of french bubbles is enough motivation to get her over any finish line! Sophie's event experience ranges from bespoke fundraisers to mass participation sports and everything in between. Her main role in the Sqaud is to keep the Register Now brand looking, sounding and feeling good. Ben Muldoon - Client Services & Growth Hustler

Ben joined the Register Now team in December 2017 fresh from the event world and what a hell of a ride around the globe he's had - London, Abu Dhabi and Shanghai - just to name a few, whilst working on some of the biggest events but after 10 years on the road it was time for a new chapter. Ben truly believes in our vision and is loving the daily challenge of learning this whole new language of APIs, MVPs, MVCs, GiTHubs, PBIs and so on. He doesn't mind throwing himself in the deep end for events, signing up first and worrying about training later. He's already nailed his first Tri and for his next goal he has his eyes set on the Hobart Point to Pinnacle event "World’s toughest Half Marathon"! As well as looking after clients, Ben is our incredible and inspiring Hustler and since he's joined his enthusiasm to bring on new clients and events has been infectious!

Ruth Perena - UI/UX Ninjette

Ruth completed her diploma of graphic design in 1996 and landed her first role as a web programmer trainee. Her career has evolved over the years in the tech industry and Ruth is now a specialist in the UX/UI Design & Development space, making user experiences beautiful and easy. Ruth joined the Register Now team in 2013 and her focus has been on producing highly intuitive designs, making our event registration system more user friendly and dragging us away from our "classic" look and feel interfaces. Her event interests are more spiritual in nature than competitive and she loves exploring the Victorian coastline walking, jogging and hiking. Ruth also loves to cook and her chocolate paleo balls don't last long in the office fridge especially when Ben is around!! Known by her close friends as the 'Meme Queen' and 'Being everyone's unpaid therapist but needing one her damn self' we think her Ninjette title is far more fitting!

Sarah Sweeney - Customer Service Champion

Sarah is no stranger to the events world. With over 10 years experience in athlete, VIP and event services, "Sweeney" has been lucky enough to spend a majority of her career combining two of her biggest passions - travel and events. She loves the buzz of events and the commitment they require from participants to train, keep focused and realise their goals, with this respect for our clientele it's no surprise that Sarah's primary focus in our Squad is to be a champion for the users of our service - athletes and clients alike. Known to participate in the occasional 10km run, Sarah also loves practising yoga and embracing the peacefulness of stand-up paddle boarding. While husband Matt is a keen triathlete, Sarah hasn't donned the lycra for a multi-sport event ... yet! A big lover of Melbourne coffee, wine, and all things food, we have been warned Sarah that can sometimes get a little hangry. So we'll keep the snacks close by!

Lisa Groves - Customer Service Rockstar

Only 2 years out of High School and Lisa has already landed her first job in the events industry, after completing a Diploma of Sport and Recreation Management. A fresh face to the events industry Lisa spends the week with us learning the tech and logic side of the business and her weekends working at major Melbourne events such as Tough Mudder, Melbourne Marathon, Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show and Geelong Ironman – oh to be young! Although she may think that controlling the office Spotify playlists is one of her best assets, Lisa's enthusiasm and quick-thinking millennial ability to troubleshoot issues and support end users through their journey is what she really excels in. Often the first voice and face you’ll come into contact with when you reach out to our support team, Lisa can be reached through our direct 1800 number.
